About A World of Welsh Lamb
An exciting line-up of top London chefs is set to cook up a Welsh Lamb extravaganza at The Butcher in Leadenhall Market, every Wednesday from 8 September to 13 October 2010. This means that for six weeks the freshest Welsh Lamb will arrive straight from farmers’ gates, to be incorporated into a mouth-watering dish for City workers’ plates.
Six unique dishes inspired by the flavours of the world will be devised by the chefs (one per chef), according to their area of expertise, with a different recipe featuring as the ‘Dish of the Day’ every Wednesday. Using British, Indian, Italian, French and Mediterranean themed ingredients to demonstrate the versatility of Welsh Lamb, the dishes will be expertly prepared on The Butcher’s grill, giving City workers the opportunity to buy a bespoke meal for lunch. Moreover, each chef will be on-hand over lunchtime to talk to visitors about their dish and to offer samples of Welsh Lamb to taste.
