Handel House and Jimi Hendrix

Composer George Frideric Handel lived and worked at 25 Brook Street in Mayfair for 36 years. He wrote Messiah at the house and died there in 1759.

Hendrix moved into a top floor flat at the same address in 1968 with his English girlfriend, Kathy Etchingham, calling it “my first real home of my own”.
